Music Mission Team working with The Bridge

When we came to St. Mary’s Church, we happened to come just as the noontime Prayer Service started. “Vater unser Himmel…”
Notice the words, “Ein feste Burg” painted around the top of this tower. This is where Martin Luther nailed the 95 Theses 502 years ago! Of course the door had been replaced but the doorway is still there! The youngest members of our team climbed all the way to the top!

Our first “choir rehearsal!” May the Lord continue to bless us – blending our voices, and our unique gifts and abilities – as we make final preparations to serve amongst refugees here in this region. May the Lord bless our hosts, Pastor Hugo and Deaconess Kim, who work daily and faithfully amongst refugees!

We came by car or van, by airplane, then by bus, then train… and finally a van to “die Brueke” – an outreach centre to Middle-Eastern refugees. Die Brueke means “the bridge.” It is a bridge between peoples, and by grace, a bridge between people and God.

It was a May meet and greet – get-to-know each other and figure out what we’ll all be doing – morning. Team members from Indiana and Michigan met in Saline with members from Kentucky and South Carolina joining in by Skype. Assignments received and accepted. Preparations are underway. Ten days and counting!

Thanks for joining me!
This is the day which the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24
